1 C white sugar
6 T shortening
kalamansi rind and juice (of 4 large kalamansi)
1 1/2 C flour
1/2 t salt
1 1/2 t BP
Add alternately with
1/2 C milk (beginning and ending with flour)
Stir in 1/2 C nuts (opt)
Pour into greased loaf pan and bake at 325° for 40-50 minutes.
After baking: dissolve
1/4 C sugar in the juice of 4 more kalamansi
Pour over hot bread. Makes 1 loaf.
Allow to cool, slice and serve with sweet butter.
